Benefit Strategies Sponsors International Day of the Girl Breakfast

By sponsoring a local community event like the International Day of the Girl, corporate leaders have the opportunity to turn values into visible action. It’s a meaningful expression of global responsibility—supporting gender equality not as a talking point, but as a lived commitment.
Benefit Strategies Inc. is proud to have been a contributing sponsor for Edmonton’s Inaugural International Day of the Girl Breakfast on October 10, at the Derrick Golf and Winter Club in Edmonton.
The International Day of the Girl Breakfast hosted a hundred Albertans gathering to celebrate the power and potential as well as the promise of girls around the world.
It was a pleasure to attend alongside special guests, Her Honour, Lt. Governor, Salma Lakhani; His Worship, Mayor of Edmonton, Amarjeet Sohi; Her Honour, Former Deputy Prime Minister Anne McLellan; Her Honour, Former MLA and Minister, Heather Klimchuk; MLA Marie Renaud; and MLA Rakhi Pancholi.
It was inspiring to hear from keynote speaker, renowned legal expert and feminist leader; Kafui Adjamagbo Johnson. Kafui is a published author on women’s rights and legal reform. She made history as the first woman to run for President in Togo and previously served as Minister of Social Welfare, Human Rights, and National Solidarity.
Championing young girls’ voices and ambitions reflects the heart of inclusive leadership, one that celebrates diversity and invests in the next generation of talent. When organizations show up locally to empower girls globally, they reinforce a culture where equality, opportunity, and community impact are not only ideals, but integral to how they do business.
We look forward to supporting the event next year, and hope our clients and friends will join us!
